Today was a banner day. On my way to work, the tread separated from my left rear tire. It didn't completely peel off--oh no--instead it peeled halfway off and then beat the living hell out of the fender & wheelwell. So now whenever I drive over some debris on the road, the inside of my tailgate gets peppered. Joyous.

On the upside, I got a new tire for $50 (plus fees, $65.99). If I can get the other three done for a similar price, I will be ecstatic. See?
Ecstatic.
To lift my spirits while I dined on turkey soup & rice, I watched Silent Movie. What can I say, it's been a month of Brooksfilms.
