I must say, it is one helluva way to start a vacation.

Before anyone else asks, housewarming party is also contingent on inspection & me moving (somewhat) in. I at least need to have utilities. It'd be a BYOF* party, that's for sure.

Okay, details.
It's a 1957 1000 sq. ft. brick ranch with matching brick slightly-more-than-one-car garage on a 40 x 126 lot in Redford. Two bed, 1 3/4 bath, finished dry basement (with possible third bedroom), original aluminum sliding windows, hardwood entry-level, updated electrical & plumbing, good attic insulation, gas hot water heat (boiler's the same age as my sister), and some appliances included.
(Remember, this is a rank amateur talking here. All these observations may change after the inspection and/or first mortgage payment (if I am approved, that is). I still bought a neat house.

It is 2:20AM here in Rochester, NY. I am sitting in the dining room of my paternal grandmother's house, updating for the uncaring masses. Soon I shall sleep, perchance to dream.
