Take one pound ground beef. I like 80/20. My friends like 90/10. For this dish, anything higher grade than 80/20 is wasted.
Brown beef. While the beef browns, chop one largish onion. Drain beef & add onion. Brown onion & beef for a bit. Not a whole lot, just enough to sop up the grease left in the skillet.
Now for the coup de grace (that's "coop dee gracie" for those of you unfamiliar with Midwest Frenglish)--add one can (28oz) of Bush's BBQ Baked Beans. Simmer the mixture slightly until the beef & onions are coated with baked beany goodness. Season to taste (I used garlic, salt, and pepper).
And that is how you make beefy baked beans. Not only does it make for a hearty main course, it also makes a delicious side dish for summer barbecues & potlucks.
