Crazy times here in Fairbanks, guys.
The weekend was good. Watched a lot of football (Go Tampa Bay! *even though I wish it were the Patriots in there*) and we went sledding too. We have such steep hills here and I went on a cafeteria tray I stole. I musta been hittin' speeds of like 60 mph because the tray would fly off and I'd still be going just as fast. Hahahaha, here's to having a deathwish.
Well, I have a bad news section. So, on Friday morning, I got a phone call from Bunnell computer lab. The said the RIAA found some "illegal" mp3s on my computer from a peer-to-peer program and want to take action. They are going to have a meeting with me today at 11 AM to figure out what to do about the situation. Most likely, they are going to give me a warning for having such files and then as a sign of "good faith", they are going to close up my computer port in my room for two months. Even though the mp3s I have on my computer are used solely for my radio show on KSUA, I have no interest in ripping off the recording industry (anybody who knows me well knows I buy my CDs), and 95% of people on campus have more music on their computer than me, I'm getting screwed. If you're using Kazaa or anything similiar to such, make sure you aren't allowing uploads so they can't get at you.
Also, my roommate was saying he was having a hard time seeing our of one of his eyes and it seems he may have a detached retina, so I drove him to the airport where he's going home to go to a physican and get looked on and see if they need to do any suregy. It's possible he is going blind. I feel so bad and I just got back from that. It's way early here. Please send out any prayers for him you can.
On a good note, I actually have a DATE on Friday. Yes yes yes, it's a friend of mine and there's always been an attraction, just never acted on. So, we're gonna see "A Guy Thing" and then she's going to the station for the spring semester's DJ meeting and first show with me. So, wish me luck!
OOOH, for advice, I'd like some idea of what to wear for this date.
I was going to wear a button down shirt and khakis. But, if you guys have suggestions *hint hint,* I'd appreciate them.
My boys Blindwise are playing their last show on Saturday night. They rocked. If you never saw them, you probably missed one of the best bands ever.
...and then SUPER BOWL! The guys are gonna throw a TV out by the elevators and watch. Sadie, my *date* is supposed to come over and watch, even though she knows nothing about the sport. hahaha.
Anyway, I wanna give some shoutouts!
Bailey: Alaska is yours to check out anytime you want. And it may be far to visit, but I think I'm worth the trip.
Chloe: Haha, it's amazing how many people on here knew from Alaska. Glad to see you interested in seeing me in pure Suicide fashion. Haha.
Write me!
