Update:
I did what I set out to do. It was classy. And I met some delightful new friends! But I have no pics to show. Maybe later. But rest assured. I achieved DASHING-ness. = P
Game updates:
The newest Zelda is AMAZING. I can't compare, since I missed all the Zeldas between the first and this, but I know that I'm going to buy Windwaker. My precious GameCube saw little use over the last year, mostly due to my torrid affair with a 360, and my lack of free time. But she's still proving to be a wonderful bit of hardware. As far as the story, it's terrific. Very involving, but simple enough. Comparing it to Final Fantasy is like contrasting the Hobbit and the LOTR Trilogy. Good, clean, simple adventure. And I get a tremendous kick out of playing as a wolf. All my biting tendancies finally have an outlet. Well, biting and scratching tendancies. And howling. MOVING ON!
I've been playing Lost in Blue for the DS. It's kind of addicting, though it's got that repetitive-quality that means I can only handle an hour or so at a time. The premise is this: You've been shipwrecked on an island, and must forage and gather food, learn to build fire, and develop weapons and tools. EXCELLENT! But you also have to keep your stomach full and your strength up, and that proves to be a constant task. The first few weeks in-game are basically walking about stuffing everything you find into your mouth.
You can't explore because you'd starve to death walking much farther than your cave. Annoying. Then, too, you must care for a girl who's washed up farther down the beach. And she's the worst kind of ward. COMPLETELY incapable. You have to take her to the river to drink, or she'll let herself get all dehydrated. Honestly. Selfpreservation would've been a nice feature, developers! Still, it's teh fun. I enjoy, muchly.
Work is slowing down. Sears has cut my hours again, and I find myself with more free time. Though I have to begin recertifying in EMT and CPR. For goodness sake. Two years has flown by. I ought to start schooling again, too. Actually get a degree now that I have a focus. But I"ve been out for so long. I don't wanna!
As far as debt, I'm slowly digging myself out. It's going to eventually be completely gone. That'll feel nice.
I'll sleep for two days to celebrate. Reward effort with the ability to be lazy. Word.
