YEAH!!!
Job interview on Thursday - sooooo exciting! Not only would it be a $4/hour raise, but it would be really nice on my resume and put me in touch with people who could potentially write recommendation letter for future schooling - hoorah for networking!
I went down to Chicago again this weekend to see my Mom and Dad - Dad's still lucid, which is nice. I was able to help my Mom out for a couple of days so she was able to get some sleep and not worry about Dad for a little while.
I took new fun pics last week of my septum and lobe plugs - I'm trying to get a free BME membership. There's more in my photos section, but here's one:
On Tueday night I'm going to try to stretch my earlobes down to 6's - right now my jewelry doesn't match, which would look silly for my job interview. I'm trying to save money on the jewelry since I'm only wearing it for 2-3 weeks per stretching - so I found one 8 in my Bucket O' Body Jewelry (it's actually hubby's old straight barbell from his frenum piercing, lol - how's that for being waaay to close to someone?)and I bought a cheapo acrylic plug for the other lobe. If I can't get the 6's to go through I'll just go pick up another black plug for my left lobe so they at least match!
I just finished reading A Million Little Pieces by James Frey. There's all this controversy about how "Oh he totally overexaggerated his drug abuse and his criminal history - what a fuckin' looser". It's a memoir, so people are wanting it to be his exact life story word for fucking word. Personally I though it was a great read - I was cheering James on the entire time - and I could give less than a shit if he overexaggerated on some of the details - made for a great fuckin' read just the way it was written.
Anyway - wish me luck on my job interview!
