I got my taxes back this week, and working so hard all year has paid off. The return is the most amount of money the government has given me.
I *heart* Canada and its systems, I really do.
So I`ve decided to save half my monies (ever so responsible) and use the rest to do some things I`ve been delaying for to long.
1. Get my name changed legally finally. The vision will be realized, hehe. The forms and payment are in order, and I should be Mrs. Sheena Swirlz before May.
2. Book buying frenzy. I love books, and I haven`t bought or read much lately. My latest read is Memoirs of a Geisha. Fantastic book, marvelously written. Much better than the movie.... read the real thing kids!
Some of the titles I`ve selected to buy are: The Da Vinci Code, The Blood Canticle and Blood and Gold by Anne Rice (her final vampire books), DIY Girl: From Lamps to Lipglosses, Generation T: 108 Ways to Convert a T Shirt, How to Be Happy Dammnit: A cynics guide to spiritual happiness, and Managing People Successfully. The last title is rather amusing, but after the year I`ve had... I`m obviously doing something wrong... or everyone is whacked. Either or.
3. Tattooooooooo. God, for such a tattoo enthusiast as I am, you`d think I`d have more than one tattoo. But what to get? Most of my ideas are a bit bigger budget than I`m willing to spend. Maybe my tattooed ring...
4. Mini shopping spree: electronic accessories for my iPod, embroidered wall art, new shoes and some fab hair dye..
I`m loving this extra cash. I`m thinking about starting a buisness on the side, to keep busy, and keep that extra cash flowing. Maybe a unique clothing thing, selling through ebay. Or maybe get my jewelery crafting going again. I have alot of stock, and the skills to make more... Or maybe I`ll start doing silkscreening workshops every month around the Niagara region. Everyone loves DIY silkscreen. Right now, the future is looking pretty good.
