Monday, 17th of April (Easter Monday)
A truly blessed day, I awoke drank the last of my coffee (the stores all being closed due to the Easter Holiday I have no coffee left in the cupboard!), and headed out to the beach. Whilst leaving, Lily my landlady, informed me that there was an Easter Parade and that I should go. While I did most sincerely wish to go, I needed more to swim and bathe in the sea, which I pleases me above all things. I swam, sunned myself and came home to shower and change. Then I drove to Punda for a light bite and as Providence would so have it, the parade was still going in Otrabanda. I took the ferry over St. Anna Baai and got to see the last of the Parade, which did please me greatly. I then supped on some grilled Red Snapper at Fort Amsterdam with a most beautiful view of the Sunset forming the backdrop. Rarely have I felt so at ease and content, only the thought or should I say desire, that Irina could share these times with me tinged me with some discontent.
Walking along Otrobanda pier, and looking over at all the delicious tinges of light at Punda with Fort Nassau in the background and Scharloo framing the scene and all sprinkled with the color of Christmas tree lights, was as always, mesmerizing. So, with a much contented heart, home and to bed.
I did'nt bring my camera yesterday, so here's a pic of Fort Beekenburg instead.

salome:
If only I could swim in the sea regularly, my mind would be much calmer and content. Beautiful.

it's shocking what one can find in Detroit. Not to mention, most people who list detroit as their hometoen live in the greater Detroit area- where the money is.
