Fearmongering at its Worst
I have had enough of the fear tactics that the McCain campaign is using to try and sway voters (not that I think it will actually work on anyone who has an ounce of rational thought in their head). It seems every McCain commercial or diatribe centers around not what McCain could do for the country, but, rather, how utterly horrible the country will be if we elect Obama. They'll have you believe that the 7 horses of the apocalypse will come stampeding down from the heavens on inauguration day. I mean, seriously, is that any way to win at ANYTHING? "Don't let THEM win, because it will be horrible!" Its like the old loser sports analogy. I half expect McCain, when he loses (and he WILL) to turn and say, we're better than they are. We just didn't play our best."
I actually heard a man, last night, tell me he's voting for McCain because Obama is "a muslim and he'll help Al Quaeda." Now, aside from the fact that this is one of the most misguided and ignorant things I have ever heard... where do you think this comes from? This kind of stuff just doesn't pop up out of thin air. Then there's this commercial with the Joe Biden quote, where McCain tries to scare people into voting for him because Biden says Obama will be "tested." I don't know about you, but don't you think EVERY president is tested? Do they honestly think that McCain WOULDN'T be tested? What? The rest of the world is going to cower because he's in office? I seriously doubt that. Al Quaeda didn't seem to have a problem "testing" George Bush. The world is an unsafe place. The world doesn't trust the U.S. right now. Bad things will happen, whoever is elected. Don't let McCain scare you, not that he would.

Stop and think about it though, the people with no rational thought tend to outweight everyone else. It's sad.
