We have a new baby!!! This is "Coralene." (Great name babe!) Coralene is an orange pastel ball python. This picture unfortunately does her little justice. Her lights are bright green/yellow, her darks are nearly black, and on her sides the color ranges from a coral-like pink (thus her name) to orange. She's a tiny little thing and maybe a month old. We got her at the Northern Berks Reptile show this past weekend.
Now we have 4 babies; 3 ball pythons and one jungle carpet python. We're going to eventually breed Coralene and Iggy to produce more pastels and regular balls. A few years from now we're going to get ourselves a male spider ball python and breed him with Coralene to produce bumble bee ball pythons and more spiders. Yeah, we're nuts. Its great. It all sounds so normal to us but when we take a step back and hear ourselves saying these things it does sound funny.
