How do you get rid of an obsession ?

I am suffocating under my obsession. Its maddening and seemingly endless. I busy myself with my work my art. Everything I do is a weak measure.

I pray for freedom from it and peace and sweet relief. I try desperately to understand it, in order not to fear it. It consumes me and eats me alive.

I want more than anything to be free of it.
