There's nothing like going on vacation to make you appreciate you own home.
Some things about London that I found interesting:
-the plumbing works differently. You pump the handle on the toilet to make it flush. It seemed that homes needed more pumping then public toilets.
-many places had fabric hand towels on rolls that you dried your hands on. They looked a bit like tighty whities. So you had to roll down a dry portion of towel and then the wet part rolled into a new roll that was all used wet towel. Does that make sence?
-the front door of the place I was staying in had no door knob. You had to use the key to get in. The front door to the appartment building had a giant door knob type thing in the center of it, but I am not really sure what that was for.
-fried chicken joints are everywhere (at least in the neighborhood I was staying in). Even KFC.
