i'm a man
who needs a lot of sex
but has to settle for a lot of coffee
and a lot of great great music
Saturday
The Subdudes
Dale Ann Bradley
The Knitters (great set!)
John Prine (wept twice)
The Flatlanders (added Bill Kirchen for extra large guitar, great great set from world's best bar band!)
Michelle Shocked (awful)
Ricky Skaggs & Bruce Hornsby (partial set, couldn't get close)
Bela Fleck & The Flecktones (partial, crowd liked them, i thought they were brilliant but not my thing probably)
Los Lobos (great set! with added guests John Doe, Dave Alvin, Chris Gafney, others) (there was a toddler mosh pit at my feet, which was distracting, but I must say A good time was had by all)
Sunday
Jim Laurderdale (bluegrass set, really lovely)
The Sadies (i'd drink and fall over to that!)
Charlie Lovin (great phrasing and passion from an old old dude!)
Hacienda Brothers (I'm sold, another big crunchy honky tonk good timin band)
Earl Scruggs (still got the licks!)
A little Doc Watson (not enough, but again the fuckin kids at my feet, moved to)
Bill Kirchen & the Hammer of the Honky Tonk Gods
Dave Alvin & The Guilty Men (blistering! Chris Gafney turned up there too)
Man o man o man! Life is good....
