Just saw They Might Be GIants in concert -- took me back to middle school/high school. It was a great show -- I know, not very punk rock, but my tastes were a bit geekier back in the early 90s, and some things never go away...The funny thing was seeing the diversity of the crowd -- from high school-age kids to middle-aged couples. Kind of cool. Anyway, it had been a long time since I'd seen any kind of live show (other than the opera, and that's a rather different thing) -- I need to go see more live music.
In other news, the Hallloween party last night was pretty cool. I got lots of compliments on my devil makeup -- will post pictures if I can track any down. The only downer: my ex-girlfriend was there, in a sexy Cabaret-girl kind of outfit -- she looked hot and I was happy to see her, but then I realized that a lot of the costume was lingerie she'd bought for my benefit back when we were together. I've been doing better with the breakup lately, but that just served as a kind of sad reminder that she wasn't wearing that stuff for my benefit any more...oh well. I suppose I should just accept the fact that it's going to be a while longer until I'm really over her. I'm just glad I didn't get drunk enough to say anything embarrassing to her.
Anyway, back to watching horror movies on AMC. I love this time of year.
