Did you know that soap works as a laxative?
I don't remember where I happened upon this little tidbit, but after yoinking a chicken maranara sandwich for lunch it tasted, well kind of soapy. . .
Just got ahold of Godsmack's acoustic album, The Other Side. It's abso-fucking-lutely amazing. I'm always irked when people say metal bands are nothing more than a lot of preamp effects and (lately) overdone layering, as there is a great deal of talent out there.
Now I have evidence!! muah
I'll wrap up today's rambling by saying I wish I'd learned how easy it is to wind up the iPod's alarm clock sooner. Waking up to Schism is surreal.

For a long time Schism was one of my least favorite songs on Lateralus but lately it's become one of my favorites. Funny how that works. Also many fans aren't too keen (pun intented) on Ticks 'n Leeches but I've always liked it...Danny goes fucking NUTS on the drums what's not to like????
are you a member of toolarmy by chance?
I have to say that Lateralus is my favorite album, and on it, Lataralus is my favorite song as it is powerful and I think just takes hold of nearly every aspect of Tool that I love so much.
Ticks & Leeches is one of my favorites as well though, Danny's skills with tablas and other percussive instruments are damn impressive but when I heard Ticks & Leeches I was really blown away, he makes John Bonham look like a 3 year old banging on pots in Moby Dick. It's not just a torrent of drum beats but there's a very strong structured rhythm.
I can't wait till the APC tour is over so Maynard can go back to making music with Tool
I moved down for the bubble burst insulation. New York was in the tech doldroms, and I wasn't about to let that stop me. The family around the dc area helped make the decision too
