Hello all you SG peoples!
Last night was my last night of training before my competition, so I was able to hit all my opening lifts for it this past week, so I am happy. Shooting to open with a 420 pound Squat, 245 pound bench, and a 445 pound deadlift. May sound impressive but the numbers are meh for strength circles... but who cares, I am going to have fun.
I have got my deadlift socks all ready (yeah they have special socks for it that they want you to wear...) they are basically knee high socks. They are quite bitchin' I must say. My singlet... that spandex onesie that wrestlers wear, it's black they didn't have any neon green ones. And I am ready to put my body through a whole day of torture for the hell of it.
Beyond that mentally I have been up and down. I think taking next week slowly and not doing anything big will be good on me. Just resting up for the 26th, the day of the competition. I also weigh in in a week, so I am nervous about that. they use your weight as a factor to determine who wins, so I am trying to lose water weight now so that I come in lighter than I actually am. Nervous about it because I WANT SOMETHING TASTY TO EAT!!!!!
On a different note, has anyone tried those daily deal things you find online? like Groupon or team save? I tried one a little while ago for an oil change for my car and the place that did it were awesome! got like $90 worth of work done on my car for $15. Not only that, from the service the guy showed me, I'd go back to him for more work, which is why they do these things in the first place... but anyways, I am hooked on them. I got a free half dozen doughnuts from krispy kreme this week and $150 worth of organic meat for $50. Vegans and veggies may hate me for the last one, but top end organic meat for someone who does eat it? Can't go wrong.
