i know it's a crap video but this is the most powerful piece of art i have seen in a really long time:

i can't actually link it to a proper video though, so here's the link.
it's by douglas gordon and i find it utterly fascinating how the injured soldier has been stripped of his humanity.
nothing's really going on but it's still so incredibly powerful. i wish i could have stood there all day watching his endless struggle but my friend got bored and pulled me away. if you're in london you have to go to tate modern to see it.

Work is actually going really well, yes. The people are so nice. Shockingly nice, actually. And I have a buttload in common with a lot of them. And not just bookselling!

Yes the man is still a nutter. He loves me, but doesn't want to rush things, this is what he says - he had a bit of a weirdoff the other night, and started texting, telling me he doesn't want to move too fast, blah blah blah - honestly, I think he's telling HIMSELF these things, because I know this about him already, so I haven't said anything! No pushing, no making plans for the future (he makes enough!), no asking about our relationship etc, I've honestly been perfectly chilled lol. So I can only assume he's telling me, telling himself, if you know what I mean. Cuz he, is a mental. Oh well! He's coming up next weekend, he's got another job thing in London, and we're going to celebrate my birthday. He said, dinner at Mr. Kongs, and a movie or show. See this "or show" thing is really nice lol, because he hates anything like that. So I told him to think about it, because I don't want to go and see something I love with a sourpuss at my side wink

I agree, British men are mental. And high-maintenance. How's things with your mental ex?

Alas, my plans included working, doing an essay, and cursing my dickhead friends. You?
