Bah Humbug!
So, I'm fining it unusually difficult to get into the 'holiday spirit' this year. Maybe it's the lack of snow, or the lack of an xmas tree...or more likely, the lack of employment. Christmas is just over a week away and I haven't even gone as far as to bake a single cookie yet.
It's not even that I'm bummed out or anything; I know people sometimes get depressed during the holidays, but it's not that at all. It just doesn't quite feel like the season is all that festive this year. Perhaps, the economic state of things is keeping everyone from enjoying the standard holiday cheer. Maybe it's just me. All of my free time (which I should be spending in search of employment) is being spent trying to figure out why it's so difficult to get things done and then realizing it's holiday time and no one is doing much of anything aside from trying to 'get through the season'...lame.
I think I'm going to put a wreath on my door just so I can have some physical representation for my constant stream of arbitrary road blocks. I'm going to start stirring my coffee with a candy cane and play some cheesy xmas songs in my car and steer clear of the mall.

i'm imagining harnessing a bunch of cats and dressing them like deer and marching them through a mall.
