yeah so i discovered that my turtle that i have is actually an endangered species in wash. and or. and is a species of concern here in cali. and that it'll live for 40-50 years. which is a very long time. but that's ok. i also discovered that i'm actually taking really good care of him. i'm feeding him all the right foods and i've set up his aquarium/terrarium correctly. so go me! i did all that without any information on how i was supposed to, and i got it right! of course, that's mostly just cuz he's a damn picky turtle, so there really wasn't any other way to do it. but now i feel kinda guilty that i have an endangered species as a pet. i dont wnt to give him up or anything, and since he's all used to people now it's not like i could release him or anything anyway. i could give him to a local animal place though, they have a nice exhibit set up. hmm. i'l post pics of him later if anyone's interested. he's really not the cutest turtle ever, but eh.
oh, and jus tin case you were wondering, he's a western pond turtle, and although i keep refering to him as "he", i really have no idea what sex he is, i couldnt' find anything that tells me that. *shrug* his name is tabasco.
