Ok so 4 months ago (Labor day) I pulled a rib. Much pain. Stretching cartilage more than you're supposed to is a very bad thing to do. Anyway. Many doctor's appointments (luckily this happened at work so I didn't pay for a thing). So yesterday after staying up all night at the hospital with my sister in law (she finally had an emergency c section at 9am, I got to the hospital at 6pm the day before after getting off a 6 hour shift) I get a call from the doctor's office confirming that I have an appointment the next day. Weird, I didn't schedule an appointment. I went ahead and kept it though because 4 months later I'm still experiencing pretty significant chest pain. So I go. The doctor is confused. Costochondritis does not last this long he tells me. Interesting. So he does an exam (he even called in a female nurse for part of it, which was nice, although I was fine) and apparently my pain is unrelated to the injury, it's from 2 separate things. He thinks. He can't actually test for it because it's a workers comp case and he's not allowed to do anything that's unrelated to the injury. He says that most likely if he were to do a breast exam he'd find some cysts, which is common in people who are overweight (I am a little, maybe 10 lbs, but not bad enough for that), or people who drink too much caffeine. Oops. I get free coffee at work. I am known for being the coffee chick. He also said that my sphincter in my stomach or something? is moving up and down? and it's caused by a bacteria that he could test for, but he'd get in trouble for that too. Ok. So I need to go see a regular doctor. Well that works cuz my health insurance that I signed up for at work starts on the 1st. Only when I go to check my benefits to see where I'm supposed to go it says that I don't have insurance. Great. So now I'm kinda fucked. I think I'm gonna call my parents.
