I'm sorry I haven't updated my blog as promised since my birthday. I just haven't really had the spoons to do so until today. Lots to talk about though!
First of all, I got my hair done by my awesome friend Tina at Luxe de Vil Salon. I basically told her the colors I wanted and let her have carte blanche to do whatever she wanted to my hair. I absolutely love it though, it turned out fucking amazing!
I'm seriously SO much in love with this hair, you have no idea! I'm champing at the bit to shoot with it like this too. So far no luck lining something up, since @kezia started having car trouble and had to postpone her trip. :( I still want to shoot with her though once things are a little better.
Then later that week @4get2remember and I had the chance to go to the Blackheart Burlesque show, so we definitely took it! I was hoping to be able to score spots on the guestlist in order to get into VIP since we couldn't afford the $$$ for two VIP tickets, but no go. It was cool though, because @sid and I had kinda figured on meeting up at the bar across from the venue, and since A and I live so far out from downtown, we had left early enough to grab a few drinks. And lo and behold, that just happened to be the bar that the dancers came to before the show to grab a drink or two! So even without VIP I was still able to meet the gorgeous @liryc @sunny @peneloppe and @annemarie ! Plus I got to meet Sid and her husband Trevor and the gorgeous @vulpixvixen ! We only had a few minutes but that was cool.
Once we got in line to get our tickets and wait for admission, that's when I got the chance to meet @bittersweet ! Sadly, it was a super short meeting because I was too shy to tell her who I was when she asked me if the line was for VIP or general admission. The amazing @radeo was there and @lolana doing merch...of course I bought more than I'd budgeted for since we were so excited! After the show I got a chance meeting with @mahneeguh when she gave us some SG stickers. ;) We were so into the show that I actually only got one photo, and that was before the show started.
Sorry for the crappy quality, my camera on my phone SUCKS. Particularly in a low light place like the venue. She's a fucking sweetheart, and I'm so glad I got the courage to go up and meet her in the bar. I'd been fangirling like crazy just from seeing them walk in, and A had to tell me that I should go say hi and basically give me the push to go introduce myself. We had a lot of fun, other than being super sore from all the standing after the show. And poor A had to go to work too that night!
The next Wednesday after the show was my birthday, and of course I had to go get some new tattoo work done. I've been planning this for ages, and it was definitely nice to get started on the end of my half-sleeve (or as A puts it, quarter sleeve. I'm not entirely sure what the difference is.)
This is the first time in over a decade I've done my hair in twin braids haha. I'm surprised it turned out as well as it did! I took this picture while I was waiting for my artist Willy to do the stencils for my lilacs. That ended up taking about an hour. Whoops! That took up most of the time, so all we ended up doing was the outlines. Once I get enough money and can schedule it, we'll color them in. ;)
Again, sorry for the blur. :( It's super hard to hold your arm still while taking a tattoo selfie haha. Aren't they gorgeous though? I'm so happy with them!
I've got so many ideas and tattoo designs in my head, I'm usually about five tattoos ahead of myself lol. Anyway, so that's what's been up, other than school and such.
Hope y'all enjoyed!!
xoxo
