This week's SG homework from @missy @lyxzen @bloghomework @rambo is about our dreams for the next year. Mine are pretty simple I think. Some of them will come true this summer, and others will take a lot of hard work and dedication but are totally worth it.
As I think some of you may have seen on @4get2remember 's latest blog, we're moving home to Colorado this July. It's bittersweet. It's not entirely how we wanted to come home, but the silver lining is that at least we get to come home. Without going into too many details, some of my immediate family put money over family and thus, we're coming home. It makes me very sad that it has to be this way, but it seems it does. Also because of this, I've had to put my plans of shooting with @skidtography on hold, and cannot even make my cousin's wedding that I was looking forward to so much. So all plans that involve modeling are pretty much on hold right now. It doesn't help that while attempting to help my mom out, I got rather badly bitten by one of her cats two days ago.
But let's cheer up and look at my dreams/plans for this upcoming year! I'm going to list them off just because that seems to be easiest and will allow me to check if I've accomplished them more easily next year.
1- Move home to Colorado. With the caveat that we'll have our own place and not be living with someone else by this time next year.
2- Be well on the way to getting my RN. (I've already got my CNA, so I plan on working while studying to be an RN.)
3- Have shot multiple sets for SG, Zivity and Diverxity. Included in this is to be always improving my modeling skills. I also want to do some wild and crazy hair and makeup.
4- Own my own car. As you may know, while we're living in Idaho, I've been borrowing one of my mom's cars that she doesn't drive (a lovely 2001 Subaru Outback. LOVE this thing!) so that we could be a two car family since I've been in class and the Minion only goes to school 3 hours a day. I was usually in class when it came time to pick her up, so Adam would get her in the Impala. We'll be so busy back in Colorado with my school, her school, my work and his work that in order to make it all work right, we'll need two cars for sure! And unfortunately, my folks will not allow me to take the Subaru to Colorado, even though she doesn't like automatics and will drive it extremely rarely. Oh well. Ce la ve!
5- I dream of being published in more magazines, whether tattoo magazines or pin-up, or both, doesn't really matter to me. I just want to make beautiful art that's seen by more than usually sees my art now.
6- More ink! One of the beautiful silver linings that is coming of our move to Colorado is that we'll finally be close again to our tattoo artist, which means that Adam and I can finally indulge our craving for more ink without having to wait until we travel to Colorado again (which while up here was maybe once a year if that). Instead, we'll be able to go in more frequently and get work done. Besides, I totally miss Willy!
So there's my main dreams/plans for this upcoming year, let's hope they've all come true by next May!
xoxo
