It's quite nice to see friends from my previous life on SG. It would have made complete sense for y'all to remove me from the friends' list, but I'm surely thankful that you didn't. A round of applause for you good folks.
Ok, that's enough. I don't want you to get a swelled head.
I don't live in Seattle proper now. I haven't since June. I now room at HolaGatita's house in the suburbs. This arrangement has gone well. Quite well. I wasn't sure how I would react to sharing a living space, but it hasn't been too difficult at all and, of course, the economic benefits are strong for both of us. Naturally, I had planned to work towards saving for a condo when I first moved here, but I seem to find reasons towards putting that off all the time. I *am* moving in that direction, but, for now, I'm still putting a disproportionate amount of funds towards travel. To thine own self, be true...
I still work in the same job in downtown Seattle. My boss is always a threat to leave and, when he does, I imagine that the demands on my time will increase precipitously. On the surface, I don't really want that, but I know that focusing my energies and being more productive would serve me well. My tendency towards lazyassdom is strong. Too strong.
Film Noir is very good. Not going to most of the festival here in Seattle, but am going to see two days' of movies down in SF. That sounds about right.
If the world really does close up shop in 2012, what do you hope to do before our eventual demise?
Best show ever.
You know how it feels when you're new to a place and no one knows you? Well, that's the case for my friend and new SG member jadawhite. Go say hello to her and welcome her to SG. You'll be glad you did.
