My friend Dayton has headed down to California for his conference, but, while here on his quick visit to Seattle, he managed to drink his way to adjusting to Pacific time. I think that I'm quite fortunate these days as travel across time zones doesn't seem to affect me much at all, but, on his last evening here, he seemed unusually tired while at the strip club. Once again, this shows that my slow and steady approach is the way to go. While he pines for the days in which he tax himself and rebound fairly easily, I note that I do pretty much what I did when I still had my youth. He's slipped from what he was while I've successfully treaded water. He's obviously become a big pussy while I've no lamer now than I was back in the day. Game, set, match---MIKE!
Damn, some sort of plane or helicopter keeps flying over the U District as I'm writing this. I suppose that it's probably nothing, but it definitely seems a bit strange. And now a loud voice that sounds like it's coming from a PA system can be heard. Damn---is there some sort of crime situation I don't know about happening here?
Earlier tonight, I had dinner with dmac and HolaGatita and, for the sixth time in six tries, meeting a real-life SG member has been nothing short of a distinct pleasure. Whoo-hoo! Technically speaking, I should be referring to her as Dr. dmac, of course, but she was most gracious in her willingness to allow a certain informality to take precedence.
I would like to get a stage prop "glass" bottle to break over my former co-worker John's head when I go back to Maine in a few weeks. Does anyone know where I could best find one?
I'm definitely looking forward to seeing my honeymooning friends Kelley and Ian in San Francisco this weekend. If I weren't in Seattle, San Francisco, seismic and cost issues aside, might well be my top choice if I could live anywhere in the US. And yours?
One last question: what's a goonluka?

but just tonight i got a call from my uncle (her brother) saying that him and his new wife were thinking of "Hosting" it at their house.....
but i remember C saying that she didn't think you guys were gonna head over to my moms anyway.
My uncle just got remarried last month ( my aunt died from cancer last year)
it was kind of quick on his part, but i just think he's one of those people that cannot handle being alone.
My new Step aunt is the same age as me
She used to own her own bakery back in the Philipines (my aunt was Fillipino as well)
so now i'm strangely curious if my uncle is just attracted to asian women or if he missed my aunt so much he just kind of gravitated to trying to meet someone like her in some way?
none of my business really... but my cousins were first pretty pissed about it!
they have calmed down since
i seriously dont know why i just rambled about my family stuff to you... sorry!
I DID overestimate you!
