So, it's been an outgoing few days. Thusday went to the lastest round of SGLA at the White Horse. Met some fine new people and got to know some other people a little better. And there was cheese. Can't ask for more than that really.
Last night was the Johnny Vatos Tribute to Halloween show at the Greek. Basically, it's a reunion of Oingo Boingo without Danny. 730A_Trixel_Fem and I went to the first one last year. It was looser and they played a lot of older, obscurer tunes and lots of side project stuff. We both liked it but it was disappointing for people wanting to hear the hits.
Well, this year, they just went all out for the fans, playing the entire 'Only a Lad' album as a first set, a set of three 'Nightmare Before Christmas' songs, then a number of other tunes, including 'No One Lives Forever' and 'Dead Man's Party' to close. In addition to the horn section, they had a string quartet that Steve Bartek orchestrated. It added an awesome element to all those much beloved songs.
Dramarama opened. I only knew them from the 'Anything, Anything' song, but I really liked the new songs they played and will probably pick up their latest at some point. X was on the bill as well, and I was excited to finally get to see them. Just classic working-class punk.
Today I went over to Dark Delicacies for anticus signing of his latest comic opus 'The Wicked West II.' If you like tales of cowboys battling the undead, this is the book for you. it was great catching up with him. He's a gentleman and a fantastic writer. It's heartening when good things happen to good people.

-So I finished notes on that script last night but didn't have a chance to call you today. Do you want to get together to discuss, or what?
