so yup. i've been here for a bit and haven't contributed much to this journal job, so . . .
last night i opened a new book: 'hocus pocus,' vonnegut. i love his humor,
to quote: 'hitler, of course, thanks to the advanced technology of germany, was among the first human beings to turn their brains to cobwebs with amphetamine. he actually chewed on carpets, they say. yum yum.'
i need to read more. i've picked up a few subscriptions over the last month or two of which one still hasn't arrived yet and, consequently, is the one that i want to get into most: Z mag. pick up a copy (at powells if you're in pdx, i'd think)--it's good for the conk.
on my new home, austin, tx:
though i swore up and down i'd never in hell move to texas, here i am. it was a good move. austin is badass. the music scene here gets me hard. so do the girls. in texas there are, without doubt, a militia of of girls that make me wanna drop.
'mum, camp is great, i don't think i want to come home.'
there needs to be--fluxion pointed out the lack hereof--more texas grrls on SG, methinks.
i need to hook up with a artist here though; i want more ink. there's some world-class heads here, though, so i don't expect it too difficult. solid black work is the want.
well that's my rant for today. not sure if anybody will spy this so until next time,
vonnegut, summing up the sorted business of our
'whole ruined planet nowadays:
THE COMPLICATED FUTILITY OF IGNORANCE.'
cheers.
