Holy shit.
I can not handle snow storms. More specifically, i can not handle driving in snow.
I have been in four major accidents. all in the snow. all not my fault. I've been rear-ended, t-boned, sideswiped into a ditch and sideswiped onto railroad tracks as a train was coming.
My mother is dealing with empty nest syndrome and is begging me to come home and spend time with her. with my mother, spending time with her usually entails cleaning her house for her and doing her "quick favors" which end up being rather frustrating errands. As if i have no life except to serve her every whim.
so, this morning she wanted me to drive to her house to spend time with her. after spending an hour digging out and defrosting my car, i headed out towards the highway. the snow was whipping around soo much that i could barely read the license plate of the car ten feet in front of me. when i get to where the turn-off is for the highway, i see the headlights of a car in front of me ( in MY lane, going the wrong direction) after swerving and nearly losing control, i began to have a panic attack. i decided it would be stupid to try and drive my car in this weather.
Yet my mother is so determined to have me spend time with her that she is driving all the way out here to pick me up and now she wants me to stay until Tuesday. I can not spend that much time with that woman. I'm afraid for the both of us.
wish me luck!
