i did someone a huge favor today/yesterday and she didn't say 'thank you'
am i an ass because that really irks me?
i really didn't expect anything from her except a little appreciation for the fact that i was doing her a favor. i went out of my way calling people and arranging shit for her and then found her a ride.
she got herself in a bad situation and i dropped all my shit and helped her out.
its funny how sometimes 'thank you' can be soo important, because i know she is grateful, but because i went extraordinarily out of my way, i feel i need to her her say it so that i don't feel like i did all that for nothing.
...idk why it matters so much, but it does to me.

i don't think true appreciation is necessary for a 'thank you' its a courtesy that is socially indoctrinated and for some reason i am reassured by it.

considering what you did I'd have to say that a thank you was the least she could have done...its the principle of the thing if nothing else.
