I believe the Fret stocks them, so I'll just have to make a trip and see if it's as good as I want to believe it is. Right now I'm at the stage of figuring out what I should be looking to get in exchange for my old Fender Deluxe 112. The shimmer of the clean channel will make it hard to part with, so this search will be thorough and slow-going.
But the treble pot needs cleaning/replacing, and the reverb's taken to rattling like a snare drum, so maybe I'm just being sentimental about my first amp.
I've heard nothing but good things about Tech21, so it's at the top of the list of candidates. Instead of waffling I should probably do like my brother's done so many times before: take amp to store that stocks possible replacement; trade; wait at least one year before repeating. His first two amps (inexpensive Fenders) he kept 2 years each; then there was the SWR combo and the Polytone that were enjoyed each in their own way for a single season cycle. He seems to have finally settled on an Acoustic Image, which he's had for a couple of years now. Though I think he's got his eye on the new model...
NICE!!!! I saw the Cure a few years ago at the amphitheatre, it was wicked. And I'm sorry! But i really am trying to switch my Pixies tickets, I have a ton of friends going on Thursday!
