Ah, well, tiptronic--that's a whole other issue. It's no effort to respect a man who knows when to seize and jerk his stick and when to let it be.

My girlfriend, though, she's a stickshift diehard--I'm afraid you've lost a few esteem points in her pretty eyes. (Yes, the same girlfriend who, when I told her I wouldn't be making it out to see you said, without for a moment considering my health, "But he seems like such a nice guy!" She is nothing if not fickle.)
