Surreal experience of the week.
My phone rings at the office yesterday, and it's the guitar player for A Flock of Seagulls letting me know they're in town (well, two towns over, but that's splitting hairs in Southern Ontario) and asks if I wanna come out.
I'm a GIANT new wave freak so of COURSE I wanna go... but unfortunately I had to give a clinic that night and I couldn't find anybody to cover for me at the last minute. Dammit.
I did manage to go out and see one of the greatest shows I've ever seen once my clinic let out, and met some very cool people in the process, but the band involved won't believe me because I'm friends with one of the guys and he thinks I'm just being polite. Ah well, so it goes.
I can't believe it's snowing again. Argh.
