So I'm back in LA. For good this time. Not in Santa Monica though... sad times.
I'm right between West Hollywood and Beverly hills. Sometimes the addy pops up as LA, sometimes as West Hollywood, but Beverly hills is across the street. It's odd.
So I was writing up this huge bit about my unlucky travel down here. But that doesn't matter anymore. I'm all moved in. Took a week + to pack up the old place, one more week + to drive down here, go to Vegas, and then unpack the place and set it up.
The past week was my first full on week in LA. And I did.... nothing. Nothing at all. Well that's a lie. I applied for over 100 jobs and found out all my connections were unable to hurt me.
What good is having a connection to the prez of a major company when it's not working?!?!?! Or getting the e-mail to a friend of a big time directors assistant if your mother is going to decide to clean out your car and throw it out?!?!?!
Ok.. Go to my happy place... breath in... Breath out... I am ok, I will be ok. I will find a job... breath...
Anyhow, this week I refuse to keep on with my solitary confinement. The Hero may love it, and my tivo and blockbuster are getting a lot of use and I am slowly using the gym again... but seriously.... I need to get out.
I am sick of my own company. So next weekend I am already planning on going out with my gal pal Holly. Gotta adore her.
None of my LA guys from TCU are getting back to me... and they suck. Suck big. Big suck.
So.... YAY FOR ME!!!!
That is all.
Also, I have discovered Showtime's Dexter and The L Word. I love me some serial killers and lesbians. The L Word gives me hope that I will one day find someone to be my number one. Odd how a show all about lesbians in LA can make a straight girl believe that she can find the guy of her dreams. Oh Eric Mabius. I adore you almost as much as Seth Rogen. And Jason Segel (Marshall on How I met Your Mother) and Josh Radnor (Ted on How I met your mother)
And PS- is it just me or do the characters of Alice and Shane have really messy hair? I'm on the first DVD. And I just want to run a brush through their hair. I am strange.
This seasons new fav is Pushing Daisies. YUMMY. I love the pie maker.
All my returns have so far made me happy in pants.
Fin for now. Will update on LA nightlife when I actually get some.
And on the job stuff. Damn writers strike.
