My dreams have been getting increasingly vivid inthe past few weeks. Of particular note was last nights in which I was busily skipping a school assignment to watch over my boss's one year old daughter. Prior to that I was at a movie theatre, staying between shows to catch a sneaky double-feature, at which point the new film Sahara started playing. This is very strange because I have no desire to see the film, and I've actually read the book it was based on and know that there is no similarities between the two.
Somehow I ended up with nothing on during the movie and then proceded to get dressed at the back of the theatre while stranger asked if i was with anyone and suggested we leave because the movie wasn't particularly good.
I got back from baby-sitting and my friend silently refused to tell me exactly what the assignment was about, as each of the students milled around the library doing research; one with a map of Alberta, another with a map of the Middle East. At about that time the radio turned on and the news started mixing into my dreams and I found myself somehow working with the people from the new publication Dose, and one guy said he was glad the Pope died because it gave him a good story to launch the paper on. I don't know if that was dreamed or part of a real interview.
But none of that topped the nap I took earlier this week and dreamed entirely in Scary Go Round style art. And not just the characters, but everyone I knew was drawn that way. Soooooo weird. I kinda wish it hadn't ended; I love that comic.
Monday Morning Note: It turns out there's a word that describes my entire existence. Esprit d'escalier.
Later that evening...
The mail man loves me; I got two of the packages I've been expecting for the past few weeks, including the one I didn't even think I was going to get! Still no Xiu Xiu pin *sigh* But I've got other fancy decoratives! Maybe I'll wear my new shirt out for Wednesday night, it's vaguely fitting for a quasi-eighties night.
I've got some cool new projects to work on in the next month or two, so it looks like I'll be good and busy, finally building some stuff for my portfolio.
