A moment to catch my breath, finally.
I finished the summer semester with straight A's. It always feels so good to know that all the hard work I put in pays off. I'm reminded that forgoing a party to dedicate more time to my studies is well worth it.
After my last assingment was submitted, I packed my things and headed off on a 5-day Carnival cruise to Grand Caymen and Calica, Mexico. What was supposed to be a few relaxing days of sunning myself on the deck turned into a massive party. In my usual style, I went to the dance club my first night and immediately made friends and caused all kinds of trouble. I met a very nice man who showed me around the ship and both destinations, and took me for amazing thai food in caymen and organic eats in Calica. Nightly, I found myself stumbling back to my cabin (where my mom was sleeping) around sunrise.
Returned from the cruise Thursday night, regained my landlegs and grabbed a nap before jumping right back behind the bar at Firestone. I guess you could say I like the abuse. The drinking binge continued through the work week. And here it is, Monday. No work. No school. No plans, and I couldn't be happier.
