I was asked to fly to Hilo this weekend to record some tracks for an album that a friend of mine is recording. 10 minutes after booking the trip (non-refundable because I got a good deal) I get the call saying that the studio forgot that they had booked someone else that day. Now it's officially an overnight trip to do absolutely nothing, so I made a phone call and talked my girl into coming with.
A few weeks ago, I started a new job running new runway/taxiway lighting at the airport. I'm actually working right alongside the runways there. Today, I saw this happen right over my head. It was kinda cool. At least my life isn't boring these days.
