Hi everyone in the beautiful SG community! Hope your August is going swimmingly, but if it's not, don't worry, it's almost over already!
Seriously, could time fly an quicker?! I do not think it could. I guess time flies when you're busy as a bee.
I am currently back in Santa Cruz recovering from an epic 3 week adventure in the PNW (Portland and Seattle) I'll catch the stops I made in Southern Oregon and Humboldt County, CA on the way back home in my next blog ;) . I shot lots of beautiful ladies in Portland and Seattle BUT there were so many girls that I missed working with that I am already planning my next trip up for this September! :)
I got to shoot a brand new, much more current set of one of my best friends in the world @bully . She and I have been friends since our first sets came out back in 2006 and we have pretty much seen it all here on SG... I am so grateful to still be creating art with her 10 years later and to have her as one of my best friends in the world.

In addition to the set, we also shot some 420 Pinups (my side business) :)
if you caught Bully's SuicideGirls periscope this past Monday, then you got to see us shooting this set and giggle with us behind the scenes a bit.
It may look like I have the most amazing life, but sometimes working 24/7 even if it is the best job ever gets tiring. By the time I arrived in Portland, I needed some friend and chill time more than ever. @bully is good at helping me with this problem!
Here are some highlights:
Helped her with her samsquatch project.
made fondue' (four different times).
went midnight bowling
had epic river adventures
Blew giant bubbles, played in teepees
smoked silly amounts of weed
looked through telescopes, went shopping and just pretty much got to feel like a normal chick instead of a nomadic workaholic for a change.
AND After all of the photo projects and fun that Bully and I had planned, I also managed to save some time for some SG shoots. I actually got to shoot 7 hopefuls on this adventure.

We shot for 420 Pinups as well as for SuicideGirls :)
Not sure you'll all see the resemblance but I think she looks a little bit like my girl, @lolana Suicide and I think they should shoot a multi if she ever goes pink <3
The next day, I got to work with another gorgeous new hopeful, Introducing @midnightsun is an Alaskan beauty who is currently in grad school in Chicago and flew to Portland to shoot her first set!
We got to shoot for Powder Puff Pinups, as well as her first SG set.
Such a babe!
And even though I planned to shoot lots of SGs, time went by quickly (hence the return visit in Sept ;) but I DID find the time to shoot another set of @toxic She was one of my very first front page SG sets so hopefully we can make a return collaboration.
Then I headed up to Seattle for a few days!

I found another beautiful place to rent that allowed me to bring my dog Zen along. I am so grateful to pet lovers everywhere who rent their houses and allow dogs! I LOVE YOU!

and I met a rad stylist who I had recruited 2 years ago in Columbus who just moved to Seattle this weekend. She did hair and makeup for everyone
and I shot an SG set of her as well :D She's quite the babe!
I also shot a new hopeful named Wren

I managed to find time to squeeze in a quick trip to the Chihuly Glass and Garden to inspire my Gentle Giant in his glassblowing
Need to get going for now but I will update on the shoots in Southern Oregon and Humboldt California and being back home in Santa Cruz in my next blog ;)
And of course, in 1 week, the biggest tattoo party of the year kicks off in Phoenix Arizona. Hell City Tattoo Fest! There are about 40 SGs going on at least 5 staff photographers that I know of. Hopefully I will see LOTS of you guys there! :) It's my 10th year of attending Hell City without missing a year. :D
