I thought it was time to check in with a blog and I also wanted to do some of my SG homework. Sorry @missy @rambo and @lyxzen that it's late. My dog ate it. :) Living on the road is tough. ;)

Anyway, I decided to combine 2 topics with something that I have been meaning to blog about for a while... my new city and life in Santa Cruz!
So I am going to bang out 2 August topics that I missed and catch you up on my first year in Santa Cruz all at once.:

Santa Cruz....where every day is my perfect day.
I am so in love with my city, and I truly believe it is the best city in the US,........which is why I live here. Every since I was in middle school I have known that I was not someone who would spend my life in my hometown. I am from Long Island, NY and a more fast paced, crowded life there could not be. I went away to college as soon as I graduated from high school, and backbacked throughout Europe as soon as I graduated from college, and have been traveling ever since....
I traveled all over the US for years and then the west coast for 2 years before I found and decided on Santa Cruz as my future home. For me, it has everything.... Beaches, mountains, a rad local art scene, weed laws/civic minded community, great weather, and a positive vibe.
I've been in Santa Cruz for a full year now, and feel more and more at home here with every month that goes by and with every trip that I return from and call here home <3
I haven't been this happy in a long time. Lots of things still falling in to place, but I can feel my energies on the right frequency and the universe responding to it, and I know I am on the right path.
Santa Cruz has been the most supportive community for me to move into and start an SG community! The support I am getting for my for women by women photoshoots has been a pretty amazing. And it is so beautiful here that it has been the perfect studio for me while I am getting settled and saving up for my next indoor one. ;) I've shot over 25 sets here in my new city and currently have over 20 Santa Cruz hopefuls with sets either in the queue or being prepped this month...
It's like I can see the future. In less than 2 years, my Santa Cruz community will have tons of SGs and be one of the most active SG communities on the site. ;)

This rainbow around the sun is called a sundog. I had never heard of it until I lived in Santa Cruz, but it's happened a few times this past year. It's pretty beautiful.
One of my favorite things about Santa Cruz is that you can see sea lions in the wild every day.
I got to take @prussia @paprika and @boomie to see them when they all visited me at the same time a few months ago <3
having girls visit me is one of the best things about living in such a rad city.
and palm trees <3
And I get to watch the sun set over the ocean every night...
and watch the surfers during the day
locations for my 420pinups are plentiful ;)
did I mention, it is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been?
So if you happen to be in the most beautiful city in the US and you see me, make sure you say hi, maybe puff a joint with me :)

living out of a tent and a suitcase in friends yard has been an experience, but the focus on my career and the travel I have been able to do has been worth it. And one day I will look back and long for the days when I was so free
