They say it's good to be busy at work when you're young but what a day it was today ... !

I love seeking off the beaten path for stories that move and resonate with my identity and these are more lesser well-known thoughtful treasures (that I've watched) for those who are also seekers (anime-fan or not):

1. Serial Experiments: Lain (sci-fi, philosophical)

2. Welcome to the NHK (realistic, slice of life)

And I wonder if cats ever outgrow their klutziness. How old is your sister's?
I've read SOME American Vampire. I'm saying "some" because I have no idea how many books there are. I picked up one in my library and it was about two actresses. Any idea what volume that was? It felt like the beginning.

My sister's cat is just under 2 years (same with my Russian Blue Nimue actually but she's a lot more graceful - poised is the right word). Nimue likes to deliberately knock things down from high places just to see how they fall (and break) whatever - Mister just does it accidentally.

There are three volumes of American Vampire at the moment - I'm only about halfway through the first volume and yep the first story arc deals mainly with one of those two actresses who is "used and discarded" by these vampires only to be resurrected by this new breed evolved "American" vampire (hence the title). Obviously the only thing left to do is to take revenge ARRR!!!

One of the reasons why I'm really getting into the series are the gothic elements (I've always had a fascination with the Anne Rice/ Bram Stoker depiction of vampires) and also the illustration - Rafael Albuqueque (the head illustrator) is quickly becoming a favourite of mine second behind James Jean (illustrator of the Fables covers).

Oh ho it's been a long time since I visited this site again. Anyway I've finally tossed in the towel and renewed my membership - it's not so much for the photos but rather the hope that I'll meet people with similar interests (guys and girls included).

As a side point a rather personal question proposed: perhaps I'm just really really shy but does anyone...
