Well,
A shitload of stuff has happened since my last post.
I am just freshly back at work after a busy as hell couple weeks off.
Highlights include:
--Playing an outdoor Biker rally complete with power problems due to the service not being large enough to power our huge system (joeyg200364's system), Drunken members (me and lela's drummer bf), Thunderstorms and knocked over gear.
--Lot's of Booze
--Vodka_andHonesty Getting a 3/4 sleeve started.
--Lot's of Driving, probably about 5,000 km by the end of it.
--Lot's of playing with Lennon.
--Playing a gig in the hometown theatre (Even with Booze!! The owners are pretty conservative so I was stoked on that)
-- A broken pinkie toe. Snapped it on the car door jam while wearing sandals. The only thing a person can do is keep weight off of it. Tough when you got to move your band gear 3 times and your entire house of possessions 400 km.
--Critters. I will not elaborate on that one.
--More Booze.
--A broken drummer after the street dance and a late night quad ride. I think he'll be okay though.
--A full 7am to 6pm day playing tunes in the sunshine on a 30+ degree day.
--A move to Regina on a 40+ degree day in a 16' cube van with no A/C. The truck was so full you couldn't fit in a dead hooker with a wood chipper. It was so hot in the cab that when I got out into the 40 degree sun it felt like A/C. I was kept conscious by dipping my bandana in ice water and rubbing it on my face and neck. I was also feeding my poor dog ice cubes so she wouldn't die. Boycott Budget!
--2 extra trips to get the rest of the stuff that wouldn't fit into the truck.
--A sudden feeling of age when vodka_andhonesty and some of my bandmates found white hair on my head. Like a dozen of them that were promptly plucked. Not sure if it is age or stress but whatever it is I mustn't be a kid anymore.
--Broken guitars and baseball bats at 3 in the morning after playing and drinking as much as our bellies could hold.
--A few fights and freakouts. All was resolved without much damage.
--Seeing a video of our band from about 5 years ago and being blown away by how much better a player I was then than now. Time to fuckin practice!
I have pics of some of these events but all are at home. Pester Vodka_andHonesty for them if you really want to see them. I am not sure what all was captured but I know some of it was. Lela might have some pics as well.
Now that I am back up north I think I am gonna catch up on sleep and keep looking for a new house to buy.
Cheers Perverts!
PS Welcome joeyg200364 if you haven't already. He is in my band and loves Polar Ice Vodka. Plus he says he's never fucked a fat chick but I don't believe him.
