Well,
Interview was intense and an hour long, but from what I hear from a buddy within the company who I had spy for me impressed the powers that be. Not enough to get me the job I found out this afternoon, though. They do want to keep me available for future positions which I also hear may not be that far down the line. A positive is that for the worst part of winter I only have to commute weekly to work at the mine, rather than commuting daily as I would have to with the new job. I live about 45 minutes out of the city so That'd suck on the shitty roads that we have had this winter.
I have a job that pays the bills right now and many others would probably like to have, so I'm not desperate to get a new job. Hopefully I get an offer before the baby comes to help lighten Vodka_andHonesty's load at home. This is her first week in a loooooong time without me as she used to work onsite with me until the mine flood. Go cheer her up as I think the news about the job might have pissed her off a little bit.

They are the fine scotch drinkers! We got some when we were there too, and I'd have to say it's all J's uncle's fault that I like the stuff in the first place!
