Spring term is almost done and I get to leave behind a set of right-wing moral crusaders in my socialogy and ethics classes.
Whats funny about ethics is despite the fact that people like that think me EVIL incarnate im acctualy probably one of the most Moraly advanced people you will ever meet. Sure I have no problem with the death of millions or the sacrifice of a school bus of nuns. But im looking at the big picture. If that death saves millions more or the human race as a whole? So be it. The world is terribly over populated as the mass food shortages in the world stand testemant to. We need a few more tidal waves I think.
To me the people who find that thinking evil are the real evil ones. Its ultimatly seflish to think that narrowminded short sighted "needs of the few" mentality is the better option. People who are more worried about their "faimly" and not paying attention to the impact their actions have on the world their faimlys live in are selfish fuckers.
So fine you dont like that some aborted fetus has its brains sucked out to advance nerve cell reaserch. It would be poetic justice if thouse same people are praising it someday when it saves their lives. Just like all the soccer moms who think Nazis are evil yet their squaling maggots were brought into this world with the aid of reaserch DONE by the Nazis.
I think thats why people like that are never realy in charge. They just think they are and the the real moral choices are made by the "evil".
