my printer is spitting out random bits of paper. all i asked it to do was print one letter and it's freaking out. maybe because it's so early. actually it's 10am, so not early at all but i'm used to getting off work at 11pm and sleeping late so i'm letting the printer off this time. in other computard news, there's something evil living on my computer that changes my homepage constantly and on occasion (if i haven't run adaware) i get a porn popup on this site. just this one mind. it must like suicidegirls too. whoever said evil cookies had no taste?
my soon to be brother in law just left, he had a delightful night watching all the tapes i stole from work and eating chinese food in a sleeping bag on my living room floor last night, and seemed relatively cheery for someone who had to sleep on a roll mat. i'm such a princess i needed a swedish massage after 2 nights on a futon on the floor.
two awful things and two amazing things happened to me over the weekend. i won't go into the awful but one of the greatest things in living memory happened this morning when the doorbuzzer woke me from my slumber. i answered and this lady asked if i lived there (by saying my name of course) i got all excited and was like 'yes, yes, this is she!'. then she asks if i've lost anything lately and i start to jump up and down 'yes, yes, i lost my wallet yesterday!'. so i hang up and run down four flights of stairs to open the front door and there's this woman there, all bedraggled and straggle haired cause she walked all the way over to my house in the rain, first thing, just to return my stupid wallet. she is my new god because i always, always return wallets i find, or that get handed into work and hoped that if it ever happened to me some kind soul would do the same. and she did! there wasn't much money in it, and thank GOD i'd gotten the address on my driver's license changed but today was shaping up to be a horrible day spent cancelling card. there are good people in the world, there are.
the other awesome thing was that the taxi driver on the way to the show last night was listening to acdc. neato, right?

About the wallet returning thing... you're a rare breed seldom seen in the world today. But you should do unto others as you would have done... I guess.
