Fresh off of a pretty damn good weekend! First of all it started on a Thursday, no work on Friday pretty much rules! Straight away after work I hit it home and then began my quick journey. After picking up more then enjoyable company
we set out for New Orleans... The drive was fraught with good music, green bowls and good conversation, all of which are essential in any type of road trip.
Upon arriving in NO we sought out the hotel (Dauphine Orleans) got an unexpected upgrade on a room with a balcony on the street smoked up and went and had a drink in the hotel bar which was this real rich room that reminded me of a cross between the bar in The Shining and something almost worn and dark (which probably makes no sense) after that we went walking around the french quarter. I gotta say I could people watch all day and NO is the perfect place to enjoy the local flavor of the people. It was absolutely awesome weather to be out and about observing and chatting someone up! Also I gotta say we forgot to get our tarot cards read but I didn't need a fortune teller to tell me that I'm on a good path, although the process of tarot is pretty fun and being in NO and all it just makes a great atmosphere for that sorta thing. After soaking in the french quarter we made it back to the hotel to smoke and go over a few jiu jitsu techniques!
The next morning I awoke to a great situation and commenced to revel in a great morning. Mother nature hit us with another great day that we spent walking around the market and and ducking into little shops, my favorite being the ultra expensive shop with tons of collectibles signed by famous people i.e. presidential signed documents, signed bob dylan records (wink, wink, nudge, nudge), guitars signed by musicians and what not..... We also took a street car ride for what seemed about 3 blocks to the Audobon Aquarium and enjoyed some of the sea creatures mother nature has to offer. Also I saw a 3d movie at the IMAX about seacreatures that was pretty kick ass! After that we made our way back home... All and all and outstanding trip to NOLA!
Now that's not the whole weekend just the trip to NO but if you ever want to call me at 3 a.m. feel free, I will always be ready.
