Hello lovely ladies and gentlemen of SG!
I am officially moving to Ft Wayne in about a week and a half. yikes! I'm so nervous. I got a job starting at a waitress and working my way up to bartending at an Italian Pub called Zambucas. They have a small dance floor, too. The woman I set to meet at the strip club a few weeks ago (who is my mom's best friend's cousin) owns it, along with a few other bars.
Meeting her was hilarious. Her name is Mona. Her office is at Showgirls 1 in Ft Wayne. We were supposed to meet her at the strip club at around 3:30 so she could talk to me about possible jobs and get a feel for me, whatever. So my mom, her friend, and I get there at 3:30 and Mona isn't there yet so we wait in the lobby where all the girls are dancing. Yes, I went to a strip club with my mom hahaha. You could tell my mom was really uncomfortable but she was still cool about it. We talked about which girls had the best pole skills and were talking about how surprised we were that they were ALL pretty. Well, time keeps going by and Mona still hasn't showed up yet. She didn't get there until after 5! So I waited with my mom and her best friend in a strip club for over an hour and a half hahaha. My mom was complaining that she'd way to many tits and face humpings for the day. So funny.
Meeting Mona was fine. She talked for like 20 minutes about how much she loves Sarah Palin (this was before the election) and I of course had to keep my mouth shut and look pleasant because I wanted her to give me a job haha. I'll remember to never talk politics with her. Other than that she seemed fine. She liked me and told me to talk to the manager of Zambucas and that he was the best guy to train me, and told me to mail in an app since I was leaving Ft Wayne that night. i sent it in and tried giving a follow up call but I was never able to get a hold of her. That woman is way too busy. So the next time I was going to be in town I called to let her know and didn't get a hold of her. I tried calling Zambucas and never got through to them either. Finally one day I got an answer and set a time to meet with the manager the day before I was leaving again. He's probably 40 and looks kind of asian, but he was super flirty with me, winked at me, and told me he'd hire me right then. haha! But he said he needed to talk with Mona, had me fill out another app (wtf?) and told me to call the next day since he had a meeting with Mona that morning, and we could set up an interview. I was kinda like, why don't you interview me right now? but whatever.
So the next day I called Mona at her office (since Zambucas doesn't open until 4) and she said "yeah I just need to know when you are able to start training."
cool! I got the job.
It's all been kind of weird though. I don't know if it's just that they're all unorganized or too busy or whatever, but I feel like I've never gotten a definite answer about anything from anybody. I don't know how to explain it. Yes, it sounds like a got a job, but it was all just so... unprofessional? I dunno.
Sorry, I'm rambling haha,
So come December 1 (ish) I'll be moved! So that means you'll all see a lot more of me since I'll have access to really fast internet and a bunch of computers. yay! I've been spending as much time as I can here in Ft Wayne these past few weeks, trying to get familiar with the living space and the town. I still don't know my way around at all, but I feel a lot more comfortable.
Only thing I need to do is get a car and pack all my shit up. Finding a car is a pain in the ass. Especially since my mom is the one who is financing it (I have the worst credit and no money lol) but she doesn't seem to want to get me anything over $3,000. She was complaining that even that was too high. It's like, jeez, come on! I don't want to spend more on repairing this piece of crap than I would for an actual car payment. but whatever, we'll see what happens.
Another thing I need to do is smudge this house with sage lol. Nick and Carson are both convinced this house is haunted and it really creeps me out! I totally believe in all of that stuff so don't make fun of me lol.
In other news... Nick and I have officially been together for over a year! I can't believe it! & the weirdest part... we're still happy and want to be with each other! haha
I hope I can get settled into this town easily. I need to try and make some friends and find a belly dance troupe. I think I might have made one friend, thanks to Carson being a man-whore haha. Her name is Michelle, she's super hot, 30 years old, and has a 7 year old daughter. She's also from Germany! She lived there until she was 14. How cool is that? I used to speak German really well and spent a month there when I was 15 (turned 16 there) but I hardly remember any of the language any more. Hopefully she can help me catch up! That would be awesome.
ok, enough rambling. time for some pictures!
I looove sushi mmmmmm
that's not my dog but I wish it was! hehe
I have a crazy aunt who sends me and my mom letters all the time with random stuff in them. sometimes money, sometimes little heart cut outs, sometimes cat toys haha. she's so goofy. I love my aunt. here's a letter I got from her the other day.
now some belly dancing pics!
I think this one is funny because my face looks like the people in The Ring haha. oh... and check out that dude in the back with the hat!
the outfit for my solo!
close up of the top I made! I'm so proud of it!
now he's a few pictures from over the summer....
I got to be an extra in a Harry Potter spoof movie called Harvey Putter along with a bunch of other girls from my belly dance troupe. We were there for the "Wizard Convention." It was soooo much fun! I'm a huge Harry Potter nerd so it was awesome being a part of it. I can't wait to see the final movie. I only wish I'd found out about it sooner, because the day we filmed was the last day

the belly dancers with "harvey"
me posing during the down time. there was a LOT of down time. we were there the entire day for shooting, but what I was in will probably only end up being 5 minutes of the movie lol.
my mom's table for the "convention." she did tarot readings. I think she had to coolest booth out of everybody!
my best friend holly. she's so sexy! i love her.
holly posing with one of the actors. he was playing "colon creepy" (colin creevey for those of you who are familiar with the story. harry potter's biggest fan)
this is why you shouldn't leave belly dancers, especially holly, unattended haha. I can't believe she talked this guy into putting on her belly dance stuff! omg, it was sooo funny.
I gave him one of my veils.. I thought it was a nice touch hehe
oh what a day. soooo much fun!!
another funny thing... Nick got called a sinner my a group of amish people the other day at work. haha! he didn't even do anything to them. he works in the warehouse at Oak Express, and he was loading out the stuff they bought. He said they were all looking at him funny and wouldn't talk to him and he kept asking if they needed anything, and then as one turned to walk away he said "sinner," and then they all walked away hahahahah.
aaaand... tuesday night I went and saw NIN!!!! it was absolutely fucking incredible. I've always been a big fan but this was my first time seeing them live.
I wasn't able to take my camera in because my cam is huge and they were searching people, but here's some pics of the tour from their flickr.
The show was amazing but the crowd totally sucked. The arena wasn't even half full, and the audience was lame. So I know they'll probably never come back to ft wayne again. Nick was talking to the sound guy and he was complaining about the turn out, and at the end of the show he said trent was pissed. they didn't even do the encore, which was 4 songs. one being echoplex, which nick was really looking forward to see, because the bring this giant screen down and one of the guys runs a drum machine by touching different keys on the screen.
Oh well, it was still an amazing show. I just wish I was taller because I couldn't see shit haha. I'm thinking I need some rediculously tall platform shoes with like 6 inches haha. something like this:
hehe!
Then last night Nick & I watched an old NIN VHS called Closure. It was really cool. Carson had it, but it's a rare tape.
oh... another plus side of moving to Ft Wayne... I'll finally be able to go to SG Havana! YAY!
well that's all for now folks... I have to head back to South Bend I'll talk to you all soon!
Hope all you sexy people are doing well!
