I hate earthquakes, they scare the shit out of me every time we have one. We had one this morning at around 4am , I was out in the living room because I wasn't feeling well again and I didn't want to keep my boyfriend awake, I jumped off of the couch and ran into the bedroom and snuggled up against him, he had told me to go get my stuff from the living room and come lay down. It's funny now that I think about it because I was shaky and scared and he had asked me if I was cold, I said no that I was scared. It happens every time we have one, I get shaky, scared and some times sick to my stomach, it sucks.
I believe we just had an earthquake last week when the Haiti one happened or at least that is what everyone is saying, I didn't feel it which is kind of odd because I feel everything.
I remember in 94 or 95 when we had the Big Bear quakes I was just about to turn 11 and my dad was out to sea at the time, we had a two story house and OMG that house was rocking and rolling. My brother and his friend just stood in the door way like nothing was happening while my mom, sister and I were huddling together in my moms bedroom. I think we had about 3 or 4 earthquakes that day and at least 2 of them were back to back but I can't remember for sure as it was so long ago.
For as long as I can remember I have been terrified of them, not absolutely certain why but I think it's fear of my house tumbling down or just getting hurt from things falling all over the place or even dying.
My sister, however, lives in MN now and she has to deal with tornado's, I am not sure which is worse. She has told me about some of the tornado warnings they have had and how loud the sirens are especially for being so far away from her. Either way, earthquakes and tornado's are bother scary as hell.
