Graduating today, I'm not sure if it hasn't really hit me yet, or if I just don't really care, but I am offly mellow right now. I mean I am excited, but its like the end of the semester rush, "no more teachers, no more books" knida of thing, really I'm just relieved the last few weeks are over. Two of the longest and hardest...

May those who love us, love us.
And those that don't love us,
May God turn their hearts.
And if he doesn't turn their hearts,
May he turn their ankles.
So we'll know them by their limping.

You know I always liked that phrase, "And this too shall pass." Not terribly big on biblical quotes generally, I'm a big fan of Bill Maher if that says anything to you. But I have always liked and appreciated this one. A phrase that applies to both good times and bad, that is both hopeful and sad, both prosaic and wise. Perhaps its dichotomy is...

The death of any animal is sad, and I believe this is because they are all innocent. They do not hold the same vile emotions gifted to man. As domesticated pets, they must rely on is 100% to fulfill their needs. In return, we merely ask for their presense.
So yes, it makes sense, and is in fact a good reaction. One who can truly appreciate and cherish the relationship between human and non-human living things shows he has the capability of seeing love, loyalty, beauty and compassion in life.

You know moving sucks.
My mother just bought a house in Punta Gorda (i think thats spelled right) and I was one of the heavy lifters. Its killer. She has been in the same house for 25 years and now has one nearly twice as big, and still doesn't have room for all her stuff. Half the time its less about moving and more about...

Being drunk and hung over in the same day is the worst feeling ever.

Well wish me luck, just spent a grand to take the CFA Level ! Exam in December. On the one hand I am really excited and REALLY looking forward to it, on the other it feels like my balls are in a vice ;-) At least I'll be busy the next few months.
This is just a funny bit of randomness I thought was hilarious....

CFA means Chartered Financial Analyst, and I'm not sure how to describe it. First time I heard of it, it was described to me as a kind of Bar Exam for people who work in Finance. Since it not required to practice finiance thats not a perfect metaphor, but you get the idea. The program takes a minimum of four years. You can take the Level 1 exam your senior year and the Level 2 as soon as you have a degree, but you can't take the Level 3 exam or apply for membership until you have worked for four years in a professional financial occupation.
And it ridiculously hard. Level 1 is not quite as hard as the CPA exam, Level 2 is a little harder than most Bar Exams, and Level 3 is just one of the hardest tests out there.
Is it sick I'm kinda looking forward to it?

Ah, today was a good day. Started of crappy and raining. My sister left for Texas today after visiting for a few days, and goodbyes always suck. Then my iPod broke, battery died while we were watching a movie last night, and it just never woke up.
But now, I have had a few hours to put everything in perspective its been a good day....

I am beginning to hate my Marketing class. I have a good teacher, and the curriculum is less boring than I thought it would be, but the bastard just won't let bashing finance majors, of which I am one. And he's one of those old school teachers that doesn't appreciate arguments, so I can't even defend my major without risking my grade. Its...

Trying trying semester. Being 28 and in college makes me feel like old man at an elementary school recess. Not that they aren't alot of good people, and I love how much and what I'm learning, but God, everyone seems so young.
Anycase, last big push takes me over the hump. Two classes in the Fall, one of them a cake walk, and I'm free...

Been a fan for years, a member of the site off and on, learned about SG and got hooked after the Burlesque show came through Gainesville, FL. Good times. Looking for online friends and social acquaintances, so please feel free to contact me.
