Is there a reason the Presidential Debates are not held with the candidates under oath? Seems like that could resolve at least some of the BS.

They're not formal legal proceedings. If they were the moderator would need to be a court officer of some sort and they'd need a clerk recording everything. As it is the debates are just another form of advertising.
