I recently had one of those afternoons where you feel glad to be alive.
I got to shoot three beautiful friends, in a beautiful location, on a gorgeous sunny day with no rules, no expectations and no real plan of how it would turn out.
I found, as I often do, a perfect little spot completely by accident.
It had a garden, an old run down shack, a gorgeous open field and remarkably an old bathtub in the backyard.
Oh, and a bunch of old cars as well.
I'd always wanted to shoot more with @harvest - over the years we've sporadically shot some really fun stuff.
I've also always wanted to shoot her with someone else.
Through the epic SG world we managed to corral the divine @aquata and @mischief to all be in one place.
Thank you universe!
I always find myself feeling so grateful and so blessed to shoot naked souls.
It's not just about the physicality of it but also the trust that your model places in your hands and the faith they have in your vision.
These brave, divine women are baring more than their skin - they're baring their personalities, their selves and their souls.
I loved the way we just morphed into the images we shot.
The shrieks of delight as the girls found new elements in our location.
The giggles as they shared a smoke and a moment.
The mischievous grins as they slipped out of their clothes and the supportive way that they suggested poses and situations to shoot were memorable and inspiring.
"Oh my god you look amazing," they cooed to each other.
And they were right.
I wish that people in relationships could have been there to listen and to feel and to hear the love that these three brought each other.
SUPPORT.
Positivity.
Smiles, laughs, cuddles, cheeky gropes...
Aside from the obvious benefits of shooting three beautiful naked women it's the privilege of capturing the earthiness of three beautiful souls that I love.
No boundaries.
No expectations.
It was like blowing bubbles into the sky and seeing what form they took and which direction they headed.
I never take the opportunity to shoot someone lightly.
And I definitely don't in this intimate environment.
There's something so beautiful in someone peeling back their layers (clothes and heart) to reveal their true selves.
I love the collaboration.
I love the creativity.
I love the RESPECT.
I love the opportunity.
I came away from the day feeling grateful for the chance to know and then shoot these beautiful women.
I hope to do many more shoots down the road one day within SG - it's a part but not the sum of my photographic world but it's so different to the rest of my captures.
I'm so thankful to you girls for spending that afternoon with me.
Harvest killing it with her perfect climax to the day was fitting and...well...climactic.
Thank you ladies. x
