I arrived in a sleepy little hamlet.
There's not much to it.The surrounding scenery is gorgeous though.
The old Shell Service station looks like it's open but it's not - I found that out the hard way.
The homes are gorgeous old style Aussie dwellings.
The streets are quiet and homely.
On a balcony, overlooking the street, right near a Police Station of all things, I found my friend Harvest who greeted me with a warm long hug and a huge smile - and of course that happy loud Iowa accent.
"I thought we'd shoot here," she says, pointing at a corner of the FRONT of her balcony that is almost in full view of the street and certainly in full view of her neighbour.
"I bet my neighbour wishes he was seeing this," she giggles, and flashes THOSE eyes in her smile.
Harvest broke my SG cherry last year.
She took a chance on my private message which I'm sure I wasn't supposed to send and I apologise for any SG ladies that I may have alarmed in that process - I couldn't help myself, I wanted to shoot some SG peeps and didn't know how to get my point across.
I love shooting.
I can't help it. It gets into your soul, into your psyche. Not because it's someone's naked body, but because it's someone's naked SOUL.
Shooting something so intimate is a privilege, and it should be treated as such.
Posing naked takes a courage that 95% of the population couldn't muster I'm certain, particularly on the front verandah of your home.
But you have to know Harvest to understand.
She rambles happily, bounces from one moment and one pose to the next, and almost always bursts out laughing.
She's got an earthiness and a warmth to her soul that is very calming.
She knows she's not an 18 year old hardbody. She knows she's not perhaps the traditional SG pink style model but she's comfy in her self and in others - and I dig that about a huge number of SG Hopefuls on this website. In fact, it's what I dig THE MOST.
I love that everyone is different, yet somehow still the same.
I love the sensuality, the sexuality, the intimacy, the quiet, the noise, the colour, the ink, the beauty.
And I love sharing the moment with someone I shoot and getting their excited reply back when you've sent them a few images.
I'll always be indebted to Harvest, because she took a chance on me.
We always have fun, we always come up with something memorable and we always have a laugh, even when she's in the most erotic position imaginable...
Gotta love that about an SG girl now don't you.
