Good afternoon SG! How are we all feeling now we are entering February?
Did you enjoy our first SG Craft Spotlight blog last week? If not take a peek of it here!
We will continue to do these blogs every Monday but please let us know if you have any ideas for blogs. We are always open.
This week we are speaking with UK Hopeful @peachynorth
One of her favourite past times is working on pyrography! She's done geeky boxes and all different kinds of designs, isn't she a talented babe?
What is your favourite box that @peachynorth has worked on? Let us know in the comments!
We decided to ask @peachynorth a few questions about her craft.
What got you into pyrography?
I've always enjoyed trying out different crafts over the years and while browsing Pinterest I came across some photos of designs that had been burned onto wood and I just had to give it a go! I watched all sorts of tutorial videos on YouTube and found a starter pyrography kit on amazon and it's still the same machine I use now.
Do you have any artists that inspire you?
There probably are some amazing pyrography artists out there, but I've never really looked into it! I always tend to just either do things based on my own interests or whatever commissions I get.
Do you have any other hobbies?
My main hobby is actually gaming! I currently play a Xbox One and a Nintendo Switch.
I haven't been able to get my hands on any next gen yet.
Do you have any creative goals for 2021?
As I have just started a huge period of time being off work, I'd like to get back into pyrography, as I haven't actually done any designs in so long.
I may end up creating a separate Instagram page for it at some point.
We would love to thank @peachynorth for giving us time to speak to her
